The first day of London Fashion Week always feels a bit like the first day of school. There’s always a touch of nerves – and in my case, a few new bits in my wardrobe to help quell them. In terms of what we’re excited for this season, honestly it’s hard to pick favourites – the schedule is just stacked. We’re all looking forward to Christopher Kane’s debut at Mulberry, and Seán McGirr’s first London outing for McQueen. Introducing British Vogue’s Gorgeous October Cover Star

This cover of Wunmi Mosaku is honestly such a joy to behold. I fell in love with the Mancunian actor the moment I saw Sinners last winter, and my crush only grew when I met her in person earlier this year. We were all so thrilled when she agreed to the shoot with her two adorable children and her gorgeous mother. Fun fact: Wunmi and her mum celebrated their birthdays on set (turning 40 and 70, respectively), so you can imagine how much fun was had. Wunmi’s conversation with author Oyinkan Braithwaite in the October issue is a real delight.

During the shows, the Vogue Café in partnership with Nike is easily the closest thing we have to a satellite HQ. It’s a place for editors to re-caffeinate, catch up on the gossip, and take a minute to soak up the street style (easily my favourite part). Doors officially open on Saturday morning at the Corner Shop on Arundel Street. Stop by for a coffee and a croissant (there’ll be delicious Vogue juices too, if you’re feeling virtuous) anytime between 10.45am and 5pm on Saturday, or 10am and 5pm on Sunday.

I was sceptical at first… then I found myself in the bowels of the British Museum this past Monday morning, waiting patiently for a glimpse of the world’s most famous tapestry. How on earth they managed to move this most exquisite piece of art history in the first place is beyond me – whatever the case, the hype is justified. The sheer scale of it alone is mindbending. Pro tip for prospective visitors: factor in a good half an hour of shopping time into your visit – the gift shop is heaven. I picked up some adorable Bayeux Tapestry-inspired Christmas ornaments.
