September has always been one of my favourite months to dress for – autumnal layers, back-to-school boots, and cool new denim always put me in the good mood, even if winter is looming. And then, of course, there's fashion week, which this year is poised to be a season to remember, with an astonishing number of designer debuts popping up at major fashion houses in Paris and Milan.
Here in London, we're gearing up for what is shaping up to be an exciting and jam-packed schedule of shows. If you're having trouble wrapping your mind around all the comings and goings, fret not. There's a totally comprehensive cheat sheet to the week below – plus, a recap of anything you might have missed from the runways across the pond in New York.
Finally I'm thrilled to announce that British Vogue will be launching a pop-up cafe with our friends at Nike at Corner Shop, a stone's throw from London Fashion Week's official hub at 180 Strand. When we're not running between shows, you can expect to find us weary British Vogue editors refuelling at the deli counter there. Join us for a cappuccino – or better still, a serving of Gelupo's ice cream, my preferred guilty pleasure of choice for fashion week – this Saturday and Sunday, anytime between 10am and 5pm.
