London Fashion Week has long been known for its emerging talent. Just look at the big ticket names nurtured by Fashion East, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with an exhibition at the ICA, as well as supporting three more young designers: Mayhew, Nuba and Jacek Gleba.
Speaking of the capital's buzzy young talents, Chopova Lowena brought the fashion pack to west London on Friday night for its pep rally-themed spring/summer 2026 show. My colleague Daniel Rodgers got a behind-the-scenes peek at how designers Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons, along with casting director Sarah Small, street cast the show, with the scouted models portraying a gaggle of jocks, nerds, mean girls and goths on the runway. It's this kind of world-building that has undoubtedly driven the brand's success in recent years.
Of course, London has produced some of the most successful designers working today – including Jonathan Anderson, the recently appointed creative director of Dior, who returned to the capital for a dinner at The Ritz last night, in partnership with the British Fashion Council, celebrating his namesake brand's new conceptual approach.
